On Tuesday night, a 23-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman committed suicide in the house in village Godikan. Goriwala Chowki Police has removed the dead bodies of both of them and sent them to the civil hospital for post-mortem. After the post mortem, the dead body has been handed over to the family. According to the outpost in-charge, both of them committed suicide.

According to the information received, the brother of the deceased said that the young man had been living in Godikan for about 1 month in a consensual relationship with the woman. The woman was the mother of 4 children. The deceased young man's elder brother returned home after work on Tuesday evening, he asked her mother about the young man and she told that both are resting in their room.

When the mother called the young man, no sound was heard from the room. She spoke to other family members about this. The family called him and knocked on the door, but after getting no response from inside, they looked from under the door and both of their legs were seen hanging. They informed about the sarpanch of the village. The sarpanch reached the spot and informed the police after taking stock of the situation. According to the information received, DSP Dabwali Kuldeep Singh Bainiwal, SHO Rajkumar reached the location.

Goriwala Police broke the door of the house and removed the dead bodies of both of them hanging and sent them to the hospital for post mortem. Goriwala outpost in-charge Ramchandra said that Sandeep, a resident of village Godikan and a woman resident of village Maharana of Punjab, had been living in a live-in relationship for about 1 month. On the basis of the statement of Raja Ram, the father of the deceased, after checking the coincidence of 174, the dead body has been handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
