Always wanted to appreciate Anil Kapoor to wanting to change Indian television by bringing in the Indian reboot of the acclaimed series 24, and later, the dies version of hugely popular sitcom, Mode

Bollywood actor-producer Anil Kapoor, who introduced the Indian adaptation of the popular American TV 24 in 2013 and has acquired the rights of American TV series Modern Family and Prison Break, says he dreams of doing an original TV show.

“I am evolving everyday. I am learning everyday as an actor and a producer. 24 has been very educative for me. I dream to do something original which will travel all over the world,” Anil said on Wednesday (June 8) at the launch of the trailer of 24: Season 2″.

now that season 2 is here upon us, maybe I should visit the first season somehow, as it has been so critically acclaimed, and the trailer for the second season looks so cool. Anil Kapoor‘s Jai Singh Rathod is haunted by demons of his experiences in season 1, and the death of his wife. His son is estranged from him, and hates him for the fact that he has moved on to a new woman, played by Surveen Chawla.

At the same time, a dreaded terrorist, played by Ashish Vidyarthi, is incarcerated behind the bars, and his compatriots, led by Sikander Kher, are using biological weapons to demand his release. With the nations once again under threat, it’s up to Jai Singh to let go off his demons and catch the villains before it’s too late.

Anil Kapoor looks so apt in his role, that you have to admire his dedication to his work, even at his age. Even though his character looks so worn out, his demeanours is of someone you should not dare mess with! The trailer has been long and gripping at places, however that CID style voiceover could have been avoided – it looked so jarring, and make the trailer lose its appeal. Apart from the above cast, 24 will also have Sakshi Tanwar, Neil Bhoopalam, Sapna Pabbi, and RaghavChanana in the mix.
