Aizawl: More than 19 lakh cases of corona infection have been reported in India. Meanwhile, 33 new cases of corona infection have been confirmed in Mizoram. A health department official said that 33 people, including 29 security personnel, have tested positive for corona in the last twenty-four hours in the state.

He said that of the fresh cases, 28 came from Aizawl District, 2 from Champai and 1 from Lunglei, Kolasib, and Sethual. The officer said that 9 security personnel are among the new patients. 1 nurse, who is caring for corona infection patients at Zoram Medical College (ZMC), has also tested positive for this infection.

The official said, "There are now 251 active corona patients in Mizoram, while 286 people have defeated the corona. The rate of recovery in the state is 53.25 percent". Till Wednesday, a total of 22,175 samples have been tested for corona infection. Officially it has been said that the maximum number of coronavirus cases have been registered at 327 in Aizawl district, followed by Lunglei at 93. So far Siaha, Mamit, and Khwajwal districts have become corona-infection-free. India is the third most affected country in the world in terms of number of patients. After America, Brazil, India is the most affected by corona infection. Talking about infected cases and mortality rate per million population, then India is much better than other countries.
