Chandru died today while rescuing a 7-year-old male elephant, who was part of the rescue team in Udumalpet Forest Range, Tamil Nadu Were. However, according to media reports, a seven-year-old male elephant fell into the canal near Pollachi in Coimbatore district. After getting information about this, a rescue team set out to save him. However, during the rescue work, it was discovered that the elephant was dead, after which its body was removed from the canal. This operation was done around 5 pm on Saturday evening.

This time, Forest Range Officer C. Dhanabalan told that Chandru had joined in the month of December and this was his first rescue operation. He further said that the forest officials and personnel of the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services tried hard to find him on Sunday.
