Mumbai: Apart from 25 international travellers who have come to Maharashtra since November 1, 3 others who came in close contact with them have been found infected with the coronavirus. In fact, recently, the State Health Department says that samples of all these people found infected with coronavirus have been sent for genome sequencing to find out if any of them are infected with the omicron variant of the corona.

In view of the omicron nature of coronavirus, international passengers are being closely monitored at airports across the country. On the other hand, as per the recent information received, a total of 861 international passengers were screened in Maharashtra from the night of 30th November to the morning of 2nd December, out of which three passengers have been found infected with the coronavirus. Amidst all this, the Health Department issued a statement saying, "A total of 28 samples from both airport and area surveillance have been sent for genomic sequencing.

You must all be aware that the omicron form of coronavirus is considered to be extremely contagious and deadly. The World Health Organization has also expressed concern over the same. In such a situation, everyone is being asked to be alert and everyone is being asked more and more to wear masks.
