After this, 21.19 lakh rupees were cheated in the name of different charges. The accused took one and a half lakh rupees as sweet charge only if the lottery cleared. Police have started an investigation based on the fraudulent bank account number and mobile number.
Investigating officer Sajjan Kanwar said that Sunita, a resident of Dhankya Road, received a WhatsApp call on 29 November. In which the caller called himself Vijay Kumar from KBC Jio Reliance and informed that your lottery of 25 lakh rupees has been imposed. He also told the victim the lottery number. After this, asking for Rs 19.69 in the name of file opening, check sign, limit increase, PIN code removal, GST, plane ticket and special number plate and told that this amount will be returned with the lottery. On this matter, the victim has deposited Rs 19.69 lakh in the young man's account through phone and other transactions.
After this, the thugs demanded one and a half lakh rupees. After losing the money, when the victim got suspicious, she stopped sending money, but the thugs kept demanding money from different numbers. After this, the victim went to the police. A preliminary investigation into the matter revealed that bank accounts and call numbers were coming from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal regions. The special thing is that all calls are coming through WhatsApp.
