Srinagar: Coronavirus has started spreading once again not only in Jammu and Kashmir but also in Ladakh. Along with the number of infected, the death toll is also increasing. Today on Tuesday, a 90-year-old elderly man has died in a hospital in Srinagar. With this, the total number of dead in the Union Territory has reached 25 so far. Of these, 21 people from Kashmir and four from Jammu division have died due to corona.

In Kulgam, a 90-year-old man died due to corona infection on Tuesday morning. Not only this, but the number of infected patients has also reached 1702 with 34 newly detected cases in Jammu and Kashmir this morning. Statistics are expected to increase further. According to information received from the health department, an elderly patient who died of corona was a resident of Khalora Kulgam. He has no travel history. In view of his critical condition, he was referred from GMC Anantnag to Skims Saura for treatment on Monday. He died this morning.

Medical superintendent Professor Farooq Jaan confirmed this and said that the patient was suffering from pneumonia. He was suffering from fever as well as shortness of breath. Their samples were taken at 6.30 pm on Monday due to the possibility of corona infection. He was found infected in the report that night at 9.08 pm. At the same time, the patient was shifted to isolation ward but he died this morning.
