Lucknow: The final and seventh phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2022 is underway today. Voting has already begun in 54 seats in nine districts of UP from 7 am today, which will continue till 6 pm. During this period, till 11 am today, 20.06% polling has been recorded in Azamgarh, 24.33% in Mau, 18.72% in Jaunpur, 20.05% in Ghazipur. At the same time, 23.51% polling has been recorded in Chandauli till 11 pm, 21.19% in Varanasi, 23.46% in Mirzapur, 22.24% in Bhadohi and 19.45% in Sonbhadra. Thus, the entire UP has recorded about 21 per cent polling till 11 pm.

Meanwhile, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subsupa) president O P Rajbhar has said that the BJP and BSP will not even open accounts in Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh, Ambedkar Nagar and Ballia. Rajbhar claimed that his alliance is winning 45 to 47 seats in Purvanchal. On the other hand, Union Minister and Apna Dal (S) president Anupriya Patel went to the booth at St. Mary's School in Mirzapur City Assembly and cast her vote. Anupriya Patel is an MP from Apna Dal (S) from Mirzapur, which is the main ally of the BJP alliance in UP. Talking to reporters, he said that the NDA coalition government will be formed in UP.

Ahead of the polling, Amit Shah tweeted, "Today is the seventh and final phase of elections in Uttar Pradesh, I appeal to all voters to vote in maximum numbers to continue the journey of public welfare and development in Uttar Pradesh.
