Lucknow: Around 250 students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, have confined themselves in the school hostel itself. The students are upset over poor food, electricity, water and sanitation arrangements. When the news of this came to the school administration and the police, there was a stir. After reaching the spot, the SDM and CO were engaged in opening the door of the room from the students but they did not open the door till 12 noon.

The officials tried hard to explain, but the students only stuck to the demand to call the District Magistrate to the spot. Students say that for about a month, we have been getting bad food. This is having a bad effect on our health. Due to lack of proper water, we all have to deal with diseases. Most students are sick. Despite several complaints, the school administration is not paying any attention to this.

Students have told that they are also facing a lot of problems due to lack of electricity. Due to lack of electricity, studies are being completely affected. Despite the arrangement of generators, the school administration does not run. The students demanded the administration to change the principal, and fix the arrangements for food, electricity, and drinking water in the school. Otherwise, we will be forced to launch big agitations. The students alleged "We are repeatedly threatened by the principal.''
