archaeologists discovered a large jar of eggs that are believed to be about 2,500 years old in China. According to reports, around 20 eggs were unearthed and their shells appeared to be greenish blue in colour. According to the experts said that eggs were buried inside a tomb about 2,500 years ago in eastern China’s Shangxing town. Pictures of the discovery showed the eggs in a clay jar that was closed with a lid.
Experts added the contents of the eggs degraded over time and the jar was only left with shells which are formed by calcium. Apart from the eggs, the archaeologists also discovered porcelain cups, pots, plates and other cookware from the excavation site.
