Pratapgarh: The medical department is on high alert after the corona investigation report of 26 people came positive on Wednesday in Pratapgarh district jail. The medical department has started the work of finding the contact history of the corona infected as well as taking samples of the people coming in contact.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr VK Jain and PMO Dr OP Daima visited the jail and took stock of the medical arrangements there, along with giving necessary guidelines to the medical staff. The corona report of an accused who came on production warrant in the district jail was found positive. After this, samples of 160 people who came in contact with him were taken and sent for examination. When the report came on Wednesday, the report of 26 of them was found positive, while 134 people were found negative. After this, the medical department became active and started the process of taking samples by searching for the contact history of all.

According to the data released by the medical department, so far 42 people have been found corona positive in the district. Most of these positive patients were in the district jail on Wednesday. Contact history of those found infected was searched, out of which a list of 252 people has been prepared.
