A man donning all black and a ballistic vest opened fire outside a small Baptist church in a small town in Texas, USA killing about 26 people and hurting 20 others in the country’s latest mass terror.

Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas, affirmed the death toll, which has gradually increased throughout the day after the gunfire at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs.

Even though the governor and other authorities affirmed that the church shooter was “profoundly armed white male, in his 20’s,” they rebuffed to name him.

on the other hand, two other officials — one a US official and one in law enforcement — who were brief on the inquiry, recognized him — on the condition of secrecy to the US media — as Devin P Kelley, 26-year old.

Spokesperson Henry Cuellar of Texas, who asserted he was briefed by law enforcement system, said the gunman arrived from Comal County that is northeast of San Antonio.

“He went there, he walked in, started gunfire people and then took off to Guadalupe County, which is northeast of Sutherland Springs,” he asserted

In a press meeting, Freeman Martin, an orator with the Texas Department of Public Safety, said the suspect dropped his rifle, which was a Ruger AR assault—kind rifle, and run away from the church.

“Around 11:20 am, the suspect, wearing clothes in black, approached the church and started firing an assault rifle. He then got in the church and continued firing,” he told.
