Dehradun: According to government data in Chamoli's Tapovan disaster, 26 bodies have been recovered so far. More than 200 people have been missing since the accident, including UP and Bihar. By Monday evening, the rescue team has reached within 130 meters of the tunnel. Relief and rescue operations are on in Chamoli and many people are feared trapped in the tunnel. The rescue team consists of teams from the Army, ITBP and BRO.

Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar has said that the tunnel has moved a bit further, the tunnel is not open yet. We hope to open the tunnel by noon. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat rushed to the hospital to meet the people injured in the disaster, where he came to know the condition of the injured and distributed fruits to them. CM Rawat said, 'The 12 injured who have been resuscitated are admitted to this ITBP hospital, all are well'. He told that there is a lot of pain in the body. Doctors said that it will be cured gradually. I am going to contact the 360 families who have been cut off from the district due to the collapse of the bridge.

To remove the people trapped in the tunnel, Rawat said, 'This strategy has been made that two machines can be used in the tunnel so that people can be rescued quickly. There is a possibility of 30-35 people being trapped inside the tunnel, trying to reach them'. Simultaneously, CM Trivendra conducted an aerial survey of the areas affected by the glacier breakdown in Chamoli district.
