Maharashtra: A 26-year-old doctor has allegedly committed suicide at Nair Hospital in Mumbai. According to information received in this case, the body of the doctor has been found in his room. The body has now been sent for postmortem. It is being said that nothing has been known about the reason behind this suicide. The police have filed an accidental death report in this case. Further investigation is underway.
This is not the first case of suicide of a doctor in Nair Hospital, in fact, before this, 26-year-old doctor Payal Tadvi also committed suicide on 22 May 2019. His family has alleged that doctors had taunted him for being a Scheduled Tribe, so Dr. Payal took such a big step. In this case, the doctors of the hospital had said, "The incident came to light after 7 pm." On Wednesday, when the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was making continuous calls to Payal Tadvi, but she did not answer the call. Disclosures were also made by the hospital staff regarding this matter.
The staff said that earlier also one case similar came to light. The case was of Dr. Payal who finished her two duties in the operation theater in the morning and went to her hostel to rest for a while. A call was made in the evening to call her on duty, but she did not respond to the call. Finally, her roommates and seniors went to check on her. During this time, when no response was received despite knocking at the door several times, everyone called the security guard. After that, the door was broken and everyone found that Dr. Payal had committed suicide.
