NEW DELHI: In a shocking report, a 29-year-old man was stabbed to death in Delhi's Badarpur location, a senior police official mentioned on Thursday. Two accused were arrested while a youth was apprehended for the crime, he said.

Keshav, a citizen of Tajpur Pahari in Badarpur, has been identified as the victim by the police.

According to the official, a call about the event was received at 8:12 p.m. on Wednesday from a victim's neighbour who said that Keshav had been transported to AIIMS. At that point, a police squad was sent to the area.

At 10.56 p.m., another call from AIIMS was received reporting that Keshav had been brought dead.

"Three individuals stabbed Keshav, it was found during the initial investigation.."During initial inquiry, it was revealed that three persons stabbed Keshav. The CCTV cameras installed near the spot of crime were scrutinized. 3 suspected boys were captured in the CCTV footage and on analysis two of them were identified as Vicky and Kohinoor," said the official.

Based on the victim's nephew's statement, a case was lodged under section 302 (murder) of the IPC.

"The mobile numbers of the accused were traced after local inquiry. The duo was detained near a liquor shop at Molarband Extension bypass road" said the official.
