Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.O is doing an outstanding business on box office. The film has broke many records.now, 2.0 becomes the first film to earn a gross collection of Rs 20 crore in Chennai city alone which does not include the Telugu or the Hindi version.

Shankar directorial 2.O  has set a new record at Chennai box office. 2.0 becomes the first film to earn a gross collection of Rs 20 crore in Chennai city alone excluding Telugu or the Hindi version. This amount of collection in Chennai city is for the Tamil film alone and is a new record now. This feat by 2.0 beats the previous record of Rs 17 crore which was set by Vijay-starrer Mersal.

Talking about world-wide collections, It has earned a worldwide collection of more than Rs 620 crore. 2.0 is also the first ever Akshay Kumar film to have earned a gross collection of Rs 100 crore right on the first day of release. 2.0 is the fifth film of Rajinikanth to have earned a collection of more than Rs 100 crore.

Directed by Shankar, 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 film Enthiran which starred Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. Enthiran was dubbed into Hindi as Robot and the film did great business at the box office. T
