Hooghly: A shocking photo has surfaced from Hooghly District in West Bengal where three friends were making videos for the Likar social portal but one of them died tragically when he was hit by a train. The video of the death of 14-year-old Nabal Gikishor was captured on camera. The case pertains to Bhadraeshwar railway station in Hooghly where three teenagers were making their own videos for other social media portals like Tiktok along the railway line in the joy and enthusiasm of Durga Puja.
All these three friends were dressed in new clothes on the same Durga Puja Maha Dashami. The three friends, deceased Dhiraj Patil (14), Deepu Mandal (18), Akash Pandey (19), were so busy making videos that they could not hear the horn of the local train coming. Kishore Dhiraj Patil died tragically pushed by a local train leaving Platform No.3 near Bhadraeshwar railway station while two of his other friends Deepu Mandal and Akash Pandey somehow escaped from the accident.
As soon as the same incident was reported, a GRP team led by Gopal Ganguly of Border Police GRP rushed to the spot. He picked up Kishor's body from the spot and took him to the hospital for postmortem. After thorough interrogation of railway police, the policemen lost their senses when the videos shot in the mobile phones of their friends surfaced. The video captured a photo of a tragic death. There are continuous campaigns for awareness by the Railway Police, but like these youths who are drowsy, the horn does not crawl till the ears and for which they have to bear the loss of their lives.
