Hyderabad: Three Maoists were killed during a shootout with police in Telangana. According to reports, in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, the police on Wednesday killed 3 alleged Maoists, including 2 women, in an encounter. While giving more information about this encounter, Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, he is posted on the Chhattisgarh border said that he had received concrete information that the police found an 8mm rifle and explosives from the place of incident.

This is the third incident of police and Naxalite firing in less than a month in North Telangana. In a release issued by the local police, it has been informed that the Maoist organizations of Telangana state were celebrating their party's Foundation Week from 21st to 27th this month.

In this context, many of their action team had to be captured. Telangana police had received information that they were going to damage the government property on the borders of Chhattisgarh and Telangana and were also going to attack the police. According to the release, the police, after receiving the information, police commenced operation in Charla and Manuguru forests in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
