New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is currently on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Even amidst strict security arrangements, terrorists are carrying out nefarious activities. On Tuesday night, there was a fierce encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Shopian district. It is reported that during this time the army has killed three terrorists of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. At the same time, a terrorist has been killed in an encounter in Mulu. Shah arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday night on a three-day visit.

Police said the firing had started in Drass village in south Kashmir. The incident took place when the jawans were conducting a search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists. According to media reports, an official has said, 'As soon as the joint team of security forces cordoned off the suspected place, the terrorists hiding there started firing. Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar said on Wednesday that three local terrorists of the terrorist organization JeM have been killed in the Drass encounter.'

Another encounter is underway in Mulu, he said. He said that the slain terrorists Hanan bin Yaqoob and Jamshed were also involved in the killing of SPO Javed Dar. Dar was killed in Pinglana, Pulwama, on October 2. Also, on September 24, a labourer from West Bengal was also killed by terrorists. The Kashmir Zone Police said that the terrorist killed in Mulu had links with Lashkar-e-Taiba.
