Islamabad: A major train accident has taken place in neighbouring Pakistan today. In Pakistan, a collision took place between Sand and Daharki railway stations in Ghotki with Sir Syed Express train, Millat Express. So far, 30 people have been reported killed in the accident, while people have been injured in a major incident. Pakistan's local news channel has reported this.

According to railway officials, the accident occurred when the Sir Syed Express on its way to Sargodha collided with the already existing Millat Express on the track. Ghotki DC Usman Abdullah has reported that 30 people have lost their lives in the accident so far. Many people are still trapped in the bogies of both the trains. Police and rescue teams rushed to the spot. 

DC Osman Abdullah said relief and rescue operations needed heavy machinery and cutters. Up and down railway traffic has been suspended following this major train accident. Meanwhile, Pakistan Rangers Sindh soldiers have also reached the spot to help the administration in the operation. The bodies are being taken to nearby hospitals.
