Friday, a joint operation by Excise department and GRP sized thirty liquor bottles from a passenger train at Jhajha railway station in Bihar.

When the Excise Superintendent Prahlad Prasad Bhushan asked about the case he said, “during search in 8183 UP Tata-Danapur Express the team of excise officials and GRP seized a bag containing 30 bottles of whiskey from a general compartment”.

He added, No passenger claimed ownership of the seized consignment with the street value of about Rs 15,000. However, Nitish Kumar government had on April 5 this year imposed total ban on the sale and consumption of country and spiced as well Indian-Made Foreign Liquor.
