Kolkata: Hundreds of BJP workers have left Bengal following political violence that arose after the results of assembly elections in West Bengal. Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma of assam, a neighbouring state of Bengal, has himself informed about the same. On May 2, 2021, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) returned to power for the third time in a row with a majority in the state, while the BJP won 77 seats. TMC goons have been accused of killings, violence and arson in Bengal. On Sunday (May 2, 2021), a BJP worker named Abhijeet Sarkar had reported on social media about the activities of TMC goons. He has been murdered shortly thereafter.
