New Delhi: In India, more than one lakh 54 thousand people have lost their lives due to corona infection. India has the highest number of deaths in the world after the USA, Brazil, and Mexico. Mexico has overtaken India in terms of total deaths. In the last 24 hours, 13,083 new corona cases have been registered in India and 137 people have died. 14,808 people have also recovered from Corona on the previous day.

According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, now the total corona cases in the country have increased to one crore 7 lakh 33 thousand. A total of one lakh 54 thousand 147 people have died. One crore four lakh nine thousand people have become healthy by beating Corona. Now the number of active cases in the country has come down to 1 lakh 69 thousand, whose treatment is underway.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 19.58 million 37 thousand samples were tested for coronavirus till January 29, of which 7.56 lakh samples were tested yesterday. It is a matter of relief that the death rate and active case rate are steadily declining in the country. The death rate from Corona is 1.44 percent while the recovery rate is around 97 percent. The active case is less than a quarter to two percent.
