Muzaffarnagar, Husband and in-laws of a 35 year old woman killed her because of dowry. A complaint has been lodged by the brother of deceased against her husband and his father and alleged that they were harassing his sister and demanding dowry.
The deceased were identified as Gulista Begum.
According to police, when Gulista failed to meet their demand, she was murdered.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
In another incident, a 35-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house at Titerwada village in Shamli district yesterday, police said.
Razia was allegedly being harassed by her husband Abid over some family dispute.
