New Delhi: The coronavirus epidemic continues to wreak havoc across the country. Though the number of new infected persons has definitely registered a decline, the death toll has not yet come down. Thousands of people have died due to corona infection in the country's capital Delhi.
On the other hand, Dr. Alok Ranjan Pandey, Vice President, Delhi University Teachers' Association has said that 'about 35-36 teachers of Delhi University have lost their lives in the last one month. 3-3 teachers have died from one college each. There is no college where no teacher or student has died. We are sensitive to the deaths of ad hoc teachers'.Â
He further said that for the death of our teachers due to corona epidemic, we have also written to the Vice-Chancellor and the Ministry on behalf of the Delhi University Teachers' Association to at least give a job to one of their family members.
