Mumbai: In a shocking Incident, Mumbai police have arrested a man for allegedly sodomising a 9-year-old boy at Kolegaon in Dombivli. The accused has been identified as 36-year-old Dinesh Lawhari. According to a report in PTI, the incident occurred last Sunday at the house of the accused.
According to the police, the accused has been booked under IPC sections 377 (unnatural offences), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The complaint was lodged by the parents of the victim on Friday. The accused worked as a housekeeper.
In the similar incident last year, a 44-year-old man was booked for allegedly sodomising a six-year-old boy in central Delhi’s Kamla Market. According to police, the accused was a distant relative of the victim and often visited his house. The accused had lured the minor to his home on the pretext of getting him a chocolate and and sodomised him.
The victim was also threatened by the accused not to tell anyone about the incident. The boy was let go after the boy assured the accused of not telling about it to anyone. The Delhi incident came to light after the boy narrated to his mother about the incident.
