Mumbai: The corona epidemic has created a stir across the country, while at least 370 policemen in Maharashtra have been found positive for corona infection in the last 24 hours. This information was given by an officer on Wednesday. He said that 60 officers and 310 constables are among the positive patients.

At present, a total of 504 police officers and 1,678 constables are undergoing treatment for corona infection in the state. A total of 48,611 employees (6,204 officers and 42,407 constables) of Maharashtra Police have been corona positive since the beginning of the same corona epidemic.

On the other hand, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the cases of 'Omicron,' which were spreading at the speed of corona in the city, are now decreasing. He also appealed to the public to get vaccinated against the infection. In a video released by the mayor's office, Pednekar said that 94 per cent of the people who died of the virus since February 2021, had not been vaccinated. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), 11,647 new cases of the corona were reported in the capital of Maharashtra on Tuesday, which was 2,001 less than the cases a day earlier.
