Corona havoc continues in Bengal, 4000 new cases reported

The total number of cases in Bengal has increased to 14,61,257 after 3,984 more covid infections were confirmed on Sunday. The death toll has gone up to 16,896 after 84 more patients lost their lives due to the epidemic in the last 24 hours. This has been reported in the medical bulletin issued by the State Health Ministry. According to the bulletin, north 24 Parganas district reported the highest number of 597 new cases of corona virus while Kolkata reported 426 more cases. North 24 Parganas district has the highest number of 20 patients, Kolkata 15 and Howrah 9 patients have also lost their lives due to covid.

According to the bulletin, the number of patients who recovered from infection on Sunday has reached 14,26,710. The recovery rate in the state has gone up to 97.64 per cent. According to the Bengal government, 17,651 patients are currently being treated in the state. The patients undergoing treatment yesterday were 1,403 less than today.  It has been learnt that 60,113 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. More than 1.32 crore covid-19 investigations have been conducted in the state so far.

Continuously declining cases: According to the information received, the daily cases of corona infection in Bengal are on the decline. Earlier on Saturday, 4286 new cases of corona virus were reported and 81 patients lost their lives. On Friday, 4883 new cases were reported and 89 people have lost their lives due to the epidemic. Earlier, on Thursday, June 10, there were 5274 new cases of corona virus and 87 patients died.
