Bihar: 4 arrested for black-marketing corona remedies

New Delhi: Delhi Police has busted another Nalanda gang. Police have arrested four persons, including a minor. According to police, the arrested vicious criminals were black marketing life-saving medicines during corona and duping people in his name. These drugs also include medicines like Remdesivir.

Police have also seized 23 mobile phones, 23 SIM cards, and four laptops from the accused. More than 13 cases were registered against the accused in Delhi alone. The accused Subodh Kumar alias Subodh Yadav has been arrested from Danapur in Bihar recently. Earlier, another accused Rajesh Paswan alias Raju (31 years), and his nephew Manoj Prasad alias Manoj Mahato of Nalanda district have been arrested. All of them have confessed to cheating in the name of supplying drugs like Remdesivir and Tossilizumeb.

During the second wave of the corona, frauds were committed through social media and online instant payments amid the howl. More than 500 cases have been registered during this period and investigations are being conducted by district cyber units, CyPAD, and crime branches.
