4 killed as a bus toppled on Vidisha-Sagar Road

Vidisha: A pilgrim bus toppled at around 9.45 pm on Tuesday night near DBC Bank on Vidisha-Sagar Road in the city. The accident is reported to have killed 4 pilgrims aboard the bus, while more than 35 passengers have been injured.

According to information received from sources, two of the injured succumbed to injuries when they reached the district hospital while 2 passengers were reported to have died while being stranded. In which one woman is also known to have died. Most of the injured are in critical condition. The Pilgrim bus was moving from Nasik to Chitrakoot. The accident happened near Kuan Khedi after passing through Vidisha. Many passengers were stranded in this bus.

After the incident, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has announced to pay Rs 4 lakh to the kin of the deceased and Rs 5000 to the injured. Even before that, there have been incidents in the city where many people have lost their lives.
