Speeding truck hits goods vehicle, 4 killed in tragic accident

Raipur: A tragic road accident took place in Bilaspur district of Chatti Sagarh on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday. The cargo got blown up in the accident. The driver of the cargo was trapped in the vehicle after the accident. In the accident, the cargo's wheels were blown away. The driver of the freighter was trapped in the vehicle after the accident. The driver was pulled out after cutting the vehicle with a gas cutter. He was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. The incident took place in the Takhatpur police station area.  

TI Mohan Bhardwaj said that a speeding hyena hit the goods vehicle near Mochha turn under the Takhatpur police station area. Mahesh Kumar Sahu, a resident of Farhada, used to drive a goods vehicle. On Friday, he had come to Bilaspur with a car. He was returning to his village at around 11 p.m. There were 3 more people in the cargo. The cargo carrier jumped into the air and fell to the ground after being hit by a high-speed truck. Three people died on the spot.   

He said the incident took place on Bilaspur - Takhatpur road around 11 pm to 11.30 pm. After the accident, the driver of the truck fled from the spot. With the help of passersby and ambulances, one of the injured persons was rushed to the hospital but died on the way. Of the deceased, only Farhada-Jarhagaon resident Mahesh Sahu has been identified. Information about 3 people is being collected. Police have registered a case against the truck driver and started an investigation.
