Ahmedabad: The new deadly strain of Corona has now reached Gujarat. Recently, this strain has been found in 4 people from Britain. All four patients have been admitted to the hospital. CM Vijay Rupani is meeting the core committee. There are currently 29 cases of new strains in India. On 23 December, these people who came to Ahmedabad from the United Kingdom were screened at the airport.

Of these, 15 reported positive, and samples were sent to Pune for testing new strains. A sample of 4 of these has confirmed new strains. 5 reports are normal. Samples of 6 people are yet to arrive. The Indian government has extended a ban on flights to and from the UK by 7 January. The ban was first imposed from midnight of 22 December to 31 December. Apart from this, the government has extended the ban on all international commercial flights till 31 January. This order will not apply to special flights and cargo flights.

A new strain of corona was found in a woman from Andhra Pradesh who returned from Britain. On 21 December, after landing at the Delhi airport, he was sent to the isolation center. She escaped from there and reached her house in Rajahmundry by special train. The woman was accompanied by her son. However, the son's corona investigation report came back negative.
