Hinduism: The body is bathed and covered with a cloth generally white. The body is adorned with flowers specially marigold. Taken and created. The remaining is dipped in the river. The person is said to be born in a different form after death till the soul achieves moksha.

Judaism: The body is buried as soon as possible covered in the shroud after being bathed. Cremations and open caskets are not allowed. A prayer known as Kaddish is said in the honor of the day and there is the intense mourning of 7 days. Death is not the end of existence it’s just a beginning of new life.

Islam: Body is bathed and covered in white cotton cloth. Cremation is forbidden and burial is done as soon as possible. Prayers for the forgiveness are done. Body in the grave faces Mecca. After Death, there is a journey to paradise or hell based on the living's deeds.

Christianity: Burial but sometimes cremation is also allowed. The body is put in the coffin. Prayers are done and dirt/flower is thrown on the coffin before lowering it down. Hell or heaven is after death.
