New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday (February 9, 2022) gave an interview to ANI editor Smita Prakash, in which he answered many questions candidly and also gave his opinion about the assembly elections to be held in five states. PM Modi told that he took Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tamil Nadu, French President Emmanuel Macron to Uttar Pradesh and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Karnataka. He made it clear that it is our job to uplift the strength of the country and encourage every state.

On the statement given in Parliament about the first PM of independent India Jawaharlal Nehru, PM Modi said that he has not commented on anyone's father, mother, maternal grandfather, grandfather. According to PM Modi, he has told what the Prime Minister of the country said. PM Modi told that what was the situation then these thoughts of a Prime Minister and what is the situation today when the Prime Minister has these thoughts. PM Modi said that he is for the society, but those who talk about fake socialism, while it is completely familyism. He asked whether Lohia ji's family is visible anywhere? Where is George Fernandes' family visible? Where is Nitish Kumar's family in politics?

Taking forward the matter of familyism, PM Modi said that, 'Once someone sent me a letter that there were 45 people from the Samajwadi Party family in UP who were in some big post. Someone told me that every aperson above the age of 25 in his entire family has been given an opportunity to contest elections. Some leaders are using diversity to antagonize each other for personal gain. This is what he has done for the last 50 years, 'divide and rule' the country on everything. Familial political parties are the biggest enemies of democracy. When the family is paramount, only save the family, even if the country is not left. Whenever this happens, the biggest loss is to the talent. Whereas, it is necessary to bring more talent in public life.
