Lucknow: The seventh and final phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh is underway on Monday. Polling is being held in 54 assembly seats in nine districts of the state, including PM Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi. The state recorded 46.40 per cent polling till 3 pm. Chandauli has the highest number of 50.75 per cent voters exercising their franchise. At the same time, Varanasi recorded the lowest voter turnout of 43.90 per cent.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that his party is winning 300 seats with its alliance partners. Akhilesh said about the exit poll that he would thank the channel and the agency, they should get the right result. To a question on what will you do if I become the chief minister,  Akhilesh Yadav said, "I am not in such a hurry, I will wait for March 10 and after that I will tell."

At the same time, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) national president Om Prakash Rajbhar has claimed that samajwadi party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav will be sworn in as cm on March 14. Talking to the media, Rajbhar said  that the BJP has left from UP, the seventh phase is in bonus.
