The withdrawal of Indians trapped abroad due to the epidemic corona has begun. The government has started the Vande Bharat Mission to bring back Indians from abroad. More than 4.75 lakh people have been brought home under this mission. The Foreign Ministry gave this information on Thursday. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anurag Shrivastava said that by July 1, a total of 5,83,109 Indians who wanted to return to the country had registered in foreign embassies. Out of these, more than 4,75,000 people have been brought back to the country under the Vande Bharat Abhiyan.

In its statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said that more than 90 thousand people have been brought back home from India's neighbouring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh etc. Under the Vande Bharat Abhiyan, the Ministry will operate more than 500 flights in the fourth phase. This includes both Air India and private aviation companies. Srivastava informed that the list of flights to be operated in the fourth phase of the campaign is available on the website of the ministry and it is constantly being updated. Vande Bharat campaign started on May 7 has entered its fourth phase from Thursday.

In his statement (AAI) chairman Arvind Singh said that India is trying to start flights internationally. Under which it is negotiating with Europe and Gulf countries along with the US and Canada. They have signed Bilateral agreements, which allow them to resume international flights to these countries. Earlier on 23 June, the Ministry of Civil Aviation had said that efforts were being made to start flights on a bilateral basis with the US, Britain, Germany and France.
