The Consumer Council has been continuously opposing the power meter based on the old technology. After this, it has come to light that there will be smart prepaid meters which are going to be based on 4G technology.

Consumer Council was making a demand: In view of the demand being raised by the Consumer Council, the UP Power Corporation and the Union Power Ministry have already given the green signal to install smart 4G prepaid meters.

4G Smart Prepaid Meter: The 4G prepaid meter is going to work exactly like the postpaid plan of the SIM card. After the 4G meter is installed, you may have to recharge a fixed capacity and a plan of the fixed units for a certain period of time. The biggest relief is that Pako is also going to get rid of the hassle of paying the electricity bill.
