5 Indian nationals asked to leave venue for suspicious conduct during India-Sri Lanka ODI

Sri Lankan cricket officials asked for at least 5 Indians to go out from the ground of Katunayakee in the third and final match of the ongoing series between India and Sri Lanka women team for suspected conduct. According to local officials, later they were handed over to the police for investigating.

A Sri Lankan cricket official told on condition of privacy that he was seen these men talking to the phone during the entire match. When asked about this, the detained people said that they are telling about the match at home. The police are investigating the case on the ground of that whether they are related to gamblers or not.

Batting first, Mithali Raj scored 125 runs which is her career’s best performance but his could not help out India .In reply, Sri Lanka captain Chamari Attapattu made her presence known and hit a  ton including 115 runs to help Sri Lanka win the match.

Sri Lanka won the match with big scores in the last over, with this the series being 2-1 in favor of India. This ODI series is part of the ICC Women's Championship, through which the three qualifying teams will be selected. Last month, in the domestic T20 competition, scores of suspected Indian and Pakistani along with Nepalese nationals were asked to leave the match venue who had  a similar charges .
