Meghan Markle has been a successful actress and has been a part of some the best series such as the "Suits". Well, she has also been the first ever biracial woman to be a part of the Royal family.
Here are some facts about the 36 years old actress, that not many of us know:
1. Meghan's forefathers were slaves:
As per the reports offered by the Times magazine, the ancestors of Meghan Markle were slaves and worked as plantation workers in Jonesboro, Georgia. The reports suggest a man called Richard Ragland, who existed during 1830 as the earliest ancestor of Meghan, traced till date.
2. Meghan was well introduced to Hollywood in Childhood:
Meghan once shared that her dad was a lighting director by profession and so after her school, she used to visit the sets of “Married…with Children,” a venture her father was working on.
3. Meghan has been a feminist since childhood:
At the age of 11, she was working on a soap commercial. The script read, " women are fighting with greasy pots." Annoyed by the sexist thought, Meghan approached Hilary Clinton and made the script change to "people are fighting with greasy pots."
4. Meghan earned $4 an hour:
At the age of 13, Meghan worked in a yoghurt shop called Humphrey Yogart. She was paid $4 an hour for scooping ice-cream and for clearing trash on weekends.
5. She taught Calligraphy:
At a place called Paper Source, Meghan taught Calligraphy. Well, the actress is a pro at writing.
