Here are some facts about the Emojis, that are sure to fascinate you:

1. As per the Reports provided, the emojis have completed three years of their existence on the social media. It has been informed that the emoticon, "Face with Tears of Joy"  has been declared as the most frequently and most widely used emoticon.

2. Reports suggest that there are 2,666 official emoji created in the world. The Unicode Consortium looks after the official emoji keyboard. They made a lot of new emoticons to their collection in the year 2017. 

3. Reports suggest that emojis were first made in  1999, but they got into common use only in the year 2011. This new innovation in the conversation language was made by Shigetaka Kurita who belonged to Japan.

4. As per the data provided, almost 5 billion emoji are exchanged on Facebook Messenger, daily.  Twitter is known to make custom emoji for events and hashtags. While Instagram provides a platform where its users can tag hashtag with emoji. 

5. Emoji means Emotion + Character.
