Anuppur: Light drizzle has started in Madhya Pradesh since the last days. 5 people died in Anuppur district on Thursday afternoon due to falling lightning during the storm and rain. A 27-year-old woman from Gram Kadam Tola of Gram Panchayat Pyari has died. Her 8-year-old son also got burnt due to lightning and was admitted to the hospital. A pregnant woman also died after being hit by gazes. With the rain, many houses in the rural area were blown up by the storm and trees fell in many places.

Pramila Mahara, a resident of Kadamtola of Gram Panchayat Pyari, went to pick up mangoes during the storm when the lightning struck she died on the spot. The 8-year-old child of the deceased was also with her. Krishnapal son Jagannath Singh and Shyam father Motilal Singh, who came to pick up mangoes in the barn at village Mauhari under village Panchayat Deori of Bearmada police station area, died on the spot due to the falling of the car.

In the village, pregnant woman Pushpalata also died due to lightning while going towards the mango garden. In village Badi Mauhari, Dhanpat son Mandhari Pawar died while fertilizing the field. Apart from this, there was heavy rain in Dindori on Thursday. Trees in some places fell due to strong storm in Mandla. A huge mango tree planted inside the traffic station premises fell on the main road, which damaged half a dozen vehicles.
