Patna: It is raining heavily in different parts of Bihar. At the same time, the havoc of thunderbolts is also being seen. The disaster management department is constantly working to issue alerts to the people over rain and thunderbolts. Now, recently, there has been a major incident that has taken place in Saharsa. Children are among those who died in the incident here. Five persons including four children and a woman were reportedly died in a lightning strike at Saroja Panchayat in the Balwahat OP area of the Simri Bakhtiyarpur division of the district. Four children from different families and an elderly woman were reportedly among the dead.
The incident is said to have occurred when suddenly it was raining heavily with strong wind. Meanwhile, the elderly woman along with the children reached under the tree to escape the rain. Meanwhile, with the rain, lightning struck the tree from the sky and all of them died on the spot after being hit by it. A girl, identified as 10-year-old Bimal Kumari, was badly injured in the incident.
There has been silence in the entire area since the incident. Now the families of the deceased are in a bad shape here. As soon as the Balwahat OP police came to know about the entire incident, a police team rushed to the spot and started investigating the case. Police seized all the bodies and send them to conduct a postmortem. According to police, the deceased include 70-year-old Bhogia Devi, 12-year-old Manisha Kumari, 10-year-old Badal Kumar, 12-year-old Sanjita Kumari, and a 7-year-old Simal Kumari.
