Purnea: A gang smuggling fake notes have once again become active in Seemanchal, Bihar. Purnea police have busted a gang smuggling fake currency notes and arrested five smugglers. All the criminals have been sent to jail. Revealing the racket, police said the printer machine printing fake notes from smugglers has also been seized. These people are such vicious criminals that they included many people in their gang to eradicate fake notes.  

Purnea is a border district of Bihar, from where Nepal and Bangladesh share a border with India at a short distance. Police have also seized three motorcycles and five mobile phones used by the smugglers. Apart from this, bundles made of hundred rupees each have also been recovered from these smugglers, which are about 4 lakh 91 thousand 500 rupees. These are all fake notes. Apart from this, the police seized a lamination machine, a packet of A4 size paper, a green sellotape, and an 8-inch long knife in a red plastic cover.

Purnea SP Dayashankar said that on September 28, at around 5.40 pm in the Banmankhi police station area, a piece of secret news was received that four-five persons from Jankinagar were coming to Purnia with fake notes on a motorcycle. Based on this information, a special team was formed under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Banmankhi. The raiding team started checking the vehicles at around 6 pm after seeing a deserted place on NH 107, about 200 meters east of Mohania Navtolia, to arrest the smugglers. Three motorcycle riders were seen coming. Seeing the police force personnel checking the vehicle, the three started running away by turning their motorcycle, which was chased away by the police force personnel. The arrested miscreants are Nitish Kumar, and Ganesh Kumar, residents of Bharrahi police station area of Madhepura district, and Subhash Kumar Sharma and Amit Kumar, both residents of Jankinagar police station area of Purnea district. At the same time, Mohammad Ainul, a  resident of Vinoba village of Jankinagar police station, has also been caught by the police.
