Lucknow: A tragic incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly on Tuesday. Five people have lost their lives in the tragic accident in the district. According to information, a truck hit the car on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway near Izzat Nagar police station area of the city, killing five persons in the car.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rohit Singh Sajwan informed that the five occupants of the car were residents of Ramnagar in Uttarakhand and were on their way to Bilgram (Hardoi) in Uttar Pradesh. He said that at 3:30 am on Tuesday, the tyre of the car suddenly burst after which the car became uncontrollable and reached the other side. Meanwhile, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the car. In this collision, five people in the car died tragically on the spot.

The SSP said the deceased included 35-year-old Mohammad Sagir, 36-year-old Muzammi, 40-year-old Mohammad Tahir, 38-year-old Imran Khan and 35-year-old Mohammad Farid. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem and investigation has been initiated.
