Chandigarh: A speeding cruiser rammed into a truck parked on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Haryana's Rewari district adjoining Gurugram. In this horrific accident, 5 people of the same family lost their lives and 7 people were seriously injured. All the injured are being treated in the hospital. Police, who reached the spot as soon as the information of the accident was received, have taken the bodies of the deceased into custody and sent them for postmortem.  

The accident was so severe that the car's wheels flew away. Giving information regarding the accident, SDM (Bawal) Sanjeev Kumar said on Tuesday that five people, including two women and 3 men, who were on board the cruiser, lost their lives in the accident. They were all from the same family. They were returning to Jaipur from Haridwar after shedding the ashes of his grandfather. There were about 17 people in the car.

Efforts are being made by the police to identify the deceased. The cause of the accident is not yet known. Police are investigating the case on the basis of interrogation of the injured and eyewitnesses. The family members of the deceased have also been informed about the accident.
