Rohtas: On the festival of Holi in Rohtas district of Bihar, a case of death of five people has come to light after drinking spurious liquor. The family members of the deceased have also accepted that people died due to drinking spurious liquor. At the same time, on seeing the openness of the administrative system in the whole case, the police are investigating the case very carefully and thoroughly.

The incident occurred in the Kochas police station area of the district where five persons lost their lives in different villages in the last three days. The first incident happened in Chawri village, where Ram Avtar died due to spurious liquor. The deceased's wife, Lakhpati Devi, said the deceased had drunk, after which his health had deteriorated. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he succumbed.

The second incident happened in another village in Kochas, where Manoj Ram and Vinod Chauhan died due to spurious liquor. The two's kin is clearly stating that the two were drunk on the day of Holi. They were admitted to a private clinic where both died during treatment. Manoj's wife Lali Devi and Vinod Chauhan's sister-in-law Meena Devi have admitted to being drunk.
