Rath Yatra or Car Festival Puri, the devotional event every year gets celebrated in the month of June and July by the enthusiastic devotees. The Rath Yatra, this year will be witnessed on 14th July, Saturday 2018 and Return Car Festival or 'Bahuda Jatra' will mark its presence on 23rd July Monday 2018. Many devotees from around the country participated in the most awaited festival. Not only on the day of Yatra but worshipers also gets involved in the preparation of the Chariots with full devotion.

Three embellished chariots fetched by the strings on the day. Nandighosa, Lord Jagannath chariot which has 45 feet height moved with 16 wheels whereas Balabhadra’s chariot gets prepared with 14 wheels and height of 45.6 feet, on the other end Devadalana, Subhadra’s chariot caught eyes with 12 wheels and 44.6 feet height.

Konark temple 

The famous Konark Sun Temple can be found in Konark about 35 kilometers (22 mi) northeast from Puri on the coastline of Odisha. In the worship of Hindu god Surya the temple, every year witnessed a huge population which witnessed the high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all carved from stone and the found peace in the lap of the great.

Konark beach  

The beach is termed as one of the finest beaches in India. It is around the distance of 204k via Angul - Athagarh road. The place is a great epitome of peace and beauty.

Chilika Lake

The largest coastal lagoon in India which is spread over the Puri, Khurda, and Ganjam districts of Odisha. The Konark temple is about 3 km (2 mi), away from the coastal lagoon which can be found at the mouth of Daya river.

Shree Loknath Temple

The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one kilometer away from of Puri - Jagannath Temple. The four-part of the temple are Vimana (Main Temple), Jagamohana (Entrance Hall), Natamandapa (Dancing Hall) and Bhogamndapa (Offering Hall). The main temple is in 30 feet down from the ground level and is built with sandstones.

Gundicha Temple

Th temple situated in Puri is the destination of Rath Yatra. From the date of commencement of the holy Yatra the temple gets occupied with the image son God  Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra for nine days. Otherwise, the temple remains empty throughout the year.
