New Delhi: Team India's spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin is celebrating his 34th birthday today. Ashwin was born on 17 September 1986 in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. Ashwin became very famous for his carrom ball early in his career. He started his international career playing ODI against Sri Lanka in the year 2005. He has shown his mettle in three formats of cricket, ODI and T20 International for India. Today on his birthday, we are going to tell you about his 5 records, which you might not know.

- Ashwin has achieved the feat twice in Test cricket to score a century and five wickets in a single match. He is the only player from India to do so. He has done this feat both times against the West Indies.

Ashwin won the 'Man of the Match' award in his debut Test match. Ashwin was the fourth Indian player to be named 'Man of the Match' in his very first Test. Before him, Narendra Hirwani, Praveen Amre and RP Singh have achieved this feat.

Ashwin is the Indian bowler to take 50, 100, 150 and 200 wickets in the lowest match in Test cricket. With this, he is at the forefront of the world in terms of taking the fastest 250 and 300 wickets. He took 250th in his 45th Test and 300th in 54th Test.

Ashwin has won the title of 'Man of the Series' six times in Test cricket. He is also ahead of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and former explosive batsman Virender Sehwag in this case. Sachin and Sehwag have won the 'Man of the Series' award five or five times.

Ashwin ranks first in the list of the fastest 100 Test wicket-taking Indians. He had completed 100 wickets in the 18th Test match. Before Ashwin, this record was recorded in the name of Erapalli Prasanna, who did this feat in 20 Test matches.
