"Addiction" when we hear  the word we  think of drugs and alcohol. Substance abuses are some of the most common dependencies, however, addictions can manifest themselves in other ways. One very serious addiction that is often overlooked is plastic surgery addiction. Plastic surgery addiction falls into a category of addictions known as behavioural or process addictions. Plastic surgery addicts set out to obtain perfection and they often end up with an irreparable damage that permanently modifies their appearance.

2. The mum of 5 who had $500,000 of plastic surgery to look like Barbie.

Nanette Hammond, 42, she's had five children, and spent more than $500,000 to look and live like Barbie.She has no plan to stop having the surgeries:"It's worth every penny to look like this. I feel happy and secure".

3. The Japanese woman who spent almost $300,000 to look like a French doll.

"Vanilla" spending the equivalent of $300,000.She claims to be from the Palace of Versailles and 27 years old, but her friends from school in Japan revealed she is 32. She is only 5' tall but plans on spending another seven million yen, ($60,000) to make herself taller.

4. The woman who set a world record with 52 plastic surgeries.

CindyJackson, she had $100,000 in cosmetic procedures, including 14 full-scale operations as well as cuts, pulls, and peels. She's had Botox, five face-lifts, liposuction, and her eyes have been done—twice. In total, Jackson has had 52 cosmetic procedures, a world record for the most ever undergone by one person.

5. The woman so addicted to plastic surgery that she injected herself with cooking oil.

Hang Mioku was left permanently disfigured following a desperate DIY beauty treatment.She had 10 operations, surgeons removed 60g of silicone, oil and other foreign substances from her face, and 200g more from her neck.She is still disfigured, and she said she wishes she could have her old face back.
