JAMMU: Security forces got a great sucesss as it have killed five terrorists in an encounter in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. It was the joint operation of Army's 9RR (Rashtriya Rifles) and Jammu and Kashmir Police , which was launched on Friday night. The terrorists reportedly belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The encounter was launched at Chowgam area of Qazigund to give a replay to terrorsts and it is still underway. The terrorists were trapped inside a residential house.

Army had started the operation as soon as it got information about the hide of some terrorists in a house in Qazigund in Kulgam late on Friday. When the terrorists found themselves surrounded by the army, they started firing in response army killed five terrorists in which most wanted Gulzar Paider is also included. Along with the army's security forces, Jammu Kashmir Police, Army and National Rifles are also present on the spot.

In order to handle the situtation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have informed that train services between Baramulla-Qazigund have been suspended. The internet services have also been suspended in the area. There is report that still few terrorits are hidden in this areas therefore operation is underway.
